"Sedgefield Middle School student, ‘Cris-Cris’, 13, was killed from a
crash with a CMS school bus while riding her bicycle. The bus driver’s
view was obstructed by a tractor trailer as she collided with Potts in
the cross-walk.
The bus driver was not charged with the accident.
This is a true tragedy. My heart goes out to her family and friends."
An outpouring of grief and support came forth from family, friends, teachers and fellow students including her 8th grade teacher, Ms. Van Horn, who writes on Charlotte Velo: "I will always miss you and remember you. In my class you always
encouraged others and never gave up. You were a true team player" Read here for the full text.
